Rubbish wasn't it.

Only highlight was Malta's renegade 12 points to the UK.

I am Serb, and I hate neighbour voting. But Serbia received points from 39 coutries, that means something, doesn't it?

Serbia won only because of bloc voting, but still I'm quite happy.

I personally like the Serbian song, but you have to admit that the scoreboard looked quite silly when almost every country in the top 15 was eastern/ex ussr. And the bottom 8 is all western european countries, that means something doesn't it? :D

Serbia got 12 from all their neighbors.
Ukraine didn't get 12 from any of their neighbors.

That must mean something, stupid Balkans.

Here is a fun fact: first 16 countries come from eastern block, last 8 are almost strictly western, for except lithuania.

This just means more western countries in the Belgrade semifinal = more top scoring western semifinal qualifiers in the final.

I'm all good.

You have Bulgaria, a loyal ally of Greece in the finals at least.

What's the betting that the only western european countries in next year's final will be the Big 4. I understand that the BIG four pay for about 80% of the costs of the contest (and the BBC - uk - about half of this). The EBU needs to be careful because the way things are going western Europe along with the big four's money will pull out and bankrupt the contest.

Can anyone explain why Sweden did so badly - they should have been top 5!

PS I classify Greece as an eastern european country due to its geographic location!

I like Bulgaria and I am happy that scored high because Bulgaria is not part of block because the other Slaves hate Bulgaria :?

This is a good point and I think the BBC is going to come under pressure to withdraw the money. They are struggling to hold on to their own shows at the moment from other UK networks (e.g. Neighbours) as they are cash strapped.

Of course they did. You got 1-3 points / per nation, by the REAL nation living in that country and all of the other points were from sebians living there. Simple maths.

I really wonder if Serbians are convinced that they had the most liked song, and can't see the fact of millions of them living (and voting) beyond the serbian border... Bitter win, in my opinion.

i say Turkey join the leaving train too! PLEASE!
I'm sick and tired of Turkey giving stupid 12 pts to Armenia/Greece/Cyrpus as a show of friendship and getting only insults across forums in return!
I'm sick and tired of political voting! I DID NOT vote for Armenia and nobody i knew did! How come Turkey gave 12 pts to Armenia? Their song was as if the guy just started singing last week and still doesn't speak a word of english
I mean really, i'm not trying to bash Armenia cos it's Armenia, but that song had no taste whatsoever, and 12 pts? wtf!?
I'm not happy with diaspora voting either, be it turkish/armenian/greek/serbian

one jury team should be formed every year by 1 jury member from each country and songs should be contested accordingly! At least that way if least bit of political voting occured we'd have the names and faces of the jury to bash!
