This stage is really tiny

Only saw a few rehearsals. My opinion about those:

Ireland: Not bad, but not very good either. It looked a bit chaotic at times as if neither of the backings or dancers had found their paces yet. They even came in too late to match the music from time to time. Let's hope this will improve by the time the semi comes around. Nothing much to say about singing here I'm afraid. The turkey sings as bad as ever, and the backings try their very best to make it sound at least a bit acceptable (and they're not doing a bad job at that either).

Azerbaijan: Good act I suppose, but I think the song itself to be so dreathful to my own ears I hardly watched the rehearsal video for about a minute.

Belgium: A bit chaotic. The band just stands there (ok, busy playing their instruments) and the leadsinger is quite too busy running from left to right and back and forward to match the charm this song actually needs("less is more" obviously isn't an option for that new choreographer they hired). And that static background, I don't think it colours the song very well. Perhaps when in a full-dress rehearsal this might look better. They can sing... that much we know for sure, hopefully the act won't crash the whole thing.

That's it for now, I'll try to watch some other rehearsals as well and form an opinion about them.

They looked & sounded great - especially for a first rehearsal..!
Based on that, they should blow everyone away...

not impressed by Charlotte, seems like she'll be eaten by Iceland and Ukraine both. i hate Ukraine's song (except for the little piece before the last chorus), but i liked her numbersooo much that i wanna see her in the final!!!

btw for now the best for me are: San-Marino, Bosnia, Iceland, Ireland, Albania, Armenia, Ukraine.

Azerbaijanis' show also seems interesting...

Bosnia & Herzegovina:Hilarius.Can make it.
Armenia:Weak dance routine...Will qualify though!
Netherlands:The beginning is awful...I don't like it.
Finland:Copy caaaats...bad!
Romania:Nice melodic,will make it
Russia:Don't like the part with the ice but here we have the WINNER.
Greece:What a surprise!Great job.It will be top 5. (final)

Day 3:
Iceland:Routine dance,great europop!Wanna qualify!
Sweden:Professional and PERFECT!!!!!!(ANOTHER TOP 5)-Will be 2nd in the final I think-And not Kate ryan cos she can sing.

Hey guys!.. my favourite so far are Armenia, Russia, Norway, Iceland and Turkey.

I like the stage but there is one thing that I hope they change and thats having the audience behind and closely in front of it which I see from the plan posted on here. I think having the audience behind the stage may slightly ruin the whole feel of how it will look on camera. I also think the audience shouldnt be too close to the staging itself, it may look very cramped and small if they do this.. I remember they did this in 2005 and it did look very squashed.

I hope someone understands what I mean

Well, it seems that people saying so are mostly Greeks, who seem to have a certain reason for saying that (and negative attitude towards Finland anyway, I really don't know why... )

I'm sorry but it's your problem.I've no probs with any country of course.I respect the work from each country,but I'm sorry but the finnish stage was soooo small.Even MF had better stage.Preety small and not effective...
As for greece the stage in athens was too big...
I think this year we have one of the best eurovision year
But cool down...Don't be so agressive...I just expressed my opinion

The best stage was last year. I loved it, great stage, great show, good songs. It was brilliant.

The worst ESC was for me in 2oo6. I didn't like hosts, and the stage was cheap. Songs were anyway good. But hosts were horrible, only that girl Maria was hot .

I have seen all the rehearsals. And here I go!

Semi #1
Montenegro - boooring
Israel - Dana won exactly 10 years ago. Can the Contest return to Jerusalem? I hope so. TOP 3 singer of the Contest.
Estonia - they're so desperate to get people's votes. I'm afraid it won't work.
Moldova - the song actually grew on me and I find it very nostalgic. But the whole performance is a lil bit messy.
San Marino - the singer is kinda good live but they need to put some more power into the song (I'm shocked that the band leader can't speak English :O)
Azerbaijan - good but nothing more
Slovenia - go to hell, lol
Norway - I think she should just stand and sing as she's not very good at moving her body
Poland - all I can say is that I just love her dress. The one she wore in the rehearsal of course. I hope we can have Isis International here
Ireland - kinda disapponting
Andorra - more power please
Bosnia - the whole thing is very cheerful but the staging is not planned well. It's not planned at all I'm afraid.
Armenia - Scream 4 available on May 20.
Netherlands - she shouldn't dance because her voice shakes
Finland - flawless
Romania - they were very nervous
Russia - something lacks in here
Greece - the NF staging was way better. She definitely needs her dancers to show their abs in order to win :/

Semi #2
Iceland - they belong to the TOP 3 singers definitely
Sweden - pro, flawless
Turkey - wow, they can speak English! Never thought. This could be my favourite if they sung in English.
Ukraine - her grandma was a Pole! 12 points go to Ukraine. The best staging. I was impressed!
Lithuania - like Montenegro.
Albania - I hope she can become a diva in her own country. But it's too early to win Eurovision
Switzerland - his voice is brilliant but he needs to improve the high parts. "The song speak about the poority". Is this why he wants to "fly away"?
Czech Republic - she hasn't improved at all since the NF
Belarus - eh, these Russians! They can make loser a decent performer. But it's still not enough.
Latvia - they made me laugh actually
Croatia - I can see it qualifying. It's different!
Bulgaria - disaster.
Denmark - good voice but he seemed a bit nervous
Georgia - I think this song suits good the current situation in Georgia and they can eventually qualify
Hungary - sing it fully in Hungarian, girl :/
Malta - she can make it
Cyprus - back singers sounded too silent
Macedonia - looks very bad here. Pull yourself together, guys!
Portugal - it sounds exactly as the studio version. My god, not only is she a marvelous singer but also a cutie!
