Will we be seeing both of these "republics" in Eurovision anytime in the next few years?

Wow....just when you think you know your countries....even more pop up.

Are these countries near Azerbaijan/Georgia? If so I suppose it's quite possible.

There should be some rule that only countries in Europe can join (or at least countries out as far as Georgia/Israel).....because I bet somewhere down the line countries will want to participate and they won't be anywhere near Europe.

They're supposedly independant republics in Georgia, but only Russia recognised them.

This is about 36902836098236 times less likely than Kosovo, only Belarus seems remotely likely from ESC countries to recognise it after Russia, this won't happen. Turkey & Azerbaijan recognise Northern Cyprus as a country but noone expects them to be allowed to enter, so don't expect anything different for these two in the near future!

You never know though,stranger things have happened! Is there any well known singers from the aforementioned regions?

Azerbaijan doesn't recognize Northern Cyprus.

Nope.
They have the same problem with Nagorno-Karabakh.

If anyone's interested, Nicaragua has now recognised Abkhazia & South Ossetia, Belarus is intending to and Venezuela and Tajikistan have been supportive of it. Only like 190-odd countries left to convince I guess!

From likely reasons Venezuela will recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia...maybe even Cuba would do it... Now the countries have been divided into blocks like never before.

Yes but the question has come up in the Azeri parliament a lot of times, and the same link you gave me says that they have a low-level form of recognition which includes international dialogue and transport links, so they're not exactly against it.

That's correct, but they haven't recognized it yet. So it would be wrong to say that they have when it is not the case.
