I want to thank you all for your "welcome back"s.

There is some serious thinking going on with the officials over the entry for NSC16. Several options are still open:

1: Go back to the "Brit Boys" NF we once started.
2: A NF with 3 or more songs from a group that is already known.
3: A NF with songs from different artists
4: An internaly chosen artist.

The answer will be given by monday at the latest, so when the NSC15 is over we can start the NF right away (if there is held one).

Rumor has it that the 2nd choise is a serious option. And that the group that would be used is revolutionary.

When the officials made their decission, you'll be the fist to know.

Greetz,

I think you should continue your last NF ;) It was a very good one! :)

Oh, and you have a fix place as a mictostate now, because of Tomstria's withdrawal ;)

But Tomstria won't be deleted til NSC19 (assuming they don't return by then)

If a country withdraws officially they will get defunct directly after the announcement. ;) We did the same with Altharia, Bokia,...

That kinda ruins my whole history of Arjastan thing :( ah well, another reason to go I guess, it's totally different to the time when I still really liked this contest...

wow, we must really suck... in the last few posts you have done nothing but complaining. If you having a really hard time here, then why put yourself through this ordeal for any longer than necessary?

I don't really mean this of course, but that's the impression you are giving me (us?)...

I'm having a bad week and it just frustrates me what NSC has become in general. And I just generally don't find it that interesting anymore. Probably Arjastan will become a sort of France for NSC for a while then disappear completely, unless the results start to change (I'm not talking about my songs in particular with that). I don't mean to bitch that much really but how else am I meant to say that?

A contest for famous/ESC/repeated singers and only a few countries bothering to find anything interesting to send at all (and those countries generally end up amongst the bottom anyway).

That's the exception, not the rule unfortunately.

And this isn't really related to Lost Isle so we should move it to MSN or something!

Well, over the past 15 editions we have probably had 300+ entries. It is not surprising that some artists have been used more than once.
And it isn't that surprising too that ESC artists have been used among those 300+ entries... and actually i think, when you put things in perspective, that the number of ESC-artists over the 15 editions is really quite low... when you compare them to other artists.

But I CAN agree with you that it is less exciting to hear NOX for the 4th (for example), or Nelly Furatdo for the 3rd time, or Britney Spears again...

In the early days, we had a rule that once an artist had been used it wasn't allowed for 3 editions to re-use that artist, and i am still in favour of that rule.

But that's a discussion we'd have to take to the rules-topic..

At this moment I'm really tired of holding conversations about sending original songs/artists, dont get me wrong, i support this idea , but in several threads we held a poll and asked ppl to vote for or against it and it seems that most ppl dont like this idea as i remember... I accept it now  everyone should send what they want but all i know is i'll keep going on with sending more unknown artists and im sure some of my singers are known by other forummembers too, you cant avoid that i think :)
Just read some old topics like 'Nag nag nag' :P

My page seems to become a place for discussion over the rules.

But I understand TF100. One of the main reasons why I like this constest is for learning new artist en news great songs. I don't mind that artists are used that are famous, but it has to bring somthing new to the contest. That what I was trying to do with my "Brit Boys" NF. This 3 groups are famous groups (Well, maybe Travis isn't :P ), but were something new to this contest. Now I see that Coldplay and Radiohead have been used since that time. This is one of the main reasons why I am thinking an other NF instead.

I realy hope everybody will choose their songs and will vote that way. I don't see why it is fun to use Kelly Clarkson for example for this contest. We all know her (anoying :P ) songs. The only way I see the use of that, is for winning the contest. But I'd rather be last with a great song, than win with a bad and famous song.

I hope I didn't offend anybody, but I was just explaining what this contest meant to me.

Oh, and I know I'm not sure of a place as microstate. But that doesn't mean I can't prepare for if their would be a place.
