New forum style

I like the new forum software but can we have a nice style to go with it please

I dont like it, Its ugly and slow lol

and there have been problems already, I assume these are teething problems.

I suppose I will have to get used to it

Well we have to get used to it, everyone hates change but I asked for it to be changed over so I am not going to start moaning ! Well done lads ! Good to see the site embracing change.

I dont think its the admin's fault.. by the looks of it, the host http://www.phpbbserver.com is transferring all its hosted forums over to the new software.. yeah I notice its really slow now and I keep receiving an error saying "SQL too many connections"

If the forum was hosted by yourself or on some webspace you would be able to carry on using the theme you had before and even create your own style which I would offer to help do as Im a good phpBB styler

Hmm I think you could be right.

There's been notices in the past at the top of the forum about phpbb doing a server update. This could be another (rather drastic) update.

So we can't lay any blame on the admins yet. They might be just as shocked as we are when they enter the forum. Also, at this early stage in the update, we can't expect instant results. I'm sure that in a few days time, the old forum skin will be returned and it will feel much like the "old" forum again

I have... The LSC-forum is exactly the same as here, and I've hated the LSC-forum layout for almost 2 months now.

And another thing.....why does it say at the top of th frum there are 19 styles available? There's only one...

It was appalling at first, when the avatars were on the right side.
So it's a little better now, but still rather depressing.
But on the old forum i couldn't answer my pm's, they were sent directly to my outbox - so hopefully that's fixed.

Lush and Narcizoid have been working really hard on this. Just give it a little bit. This new forum has really nice new tools and features and is overall a major improvement. Now we need to work on the look and we're back to normal

With another lay-out it looks indeed waaay better... allthough it could probably satisfy a lot of users if we could choose from 4 styles or so... (or can we ? )

I saw that there was no kind of logo at the top, so I made this little one for the admins to upload if they want too. I know its not the best logo but its better then having "Efilmy.eu" or whatever that is.

That is a good style ! Kargo should be brought on to advise on this as he seems pretty knowledgable lads ! If the guy knows what he is doing let him have a go, most of us here dont have a clue!
