Always,when i enter here ,the foerum says ''Click here to upgrade your existing forum to version 3.''
and the new version is really better and beautiful! I hope we everybody will be happy if we have the new version,withought losing the information

1. Create a phpbb 3 forum here.

2. Change the default language of your existing forum to English. Failure to do so will result in an error during migration.

3. Send an email to migration@phpbbserver.com with the following information:

* URL to both of your version 2 and version 3 forum.
* Forum founder user name and password of both your version 2 and version 3 forum.

There will be a link to your new forum when it is completed (usually within 7-14 days).

If you do not follow step 1 to 3, your migration request will be REJECTED.

Important Note:

1. Click here to get latest news on version 3.

2. File Attachment on version 3 will only be enabled by end of March 2008.

3. Report any errors after migration as soon as possible.

If you'd paid the same amount of attention into a few of the Basic Rules, intead of keep advising us on how to run things, it would have saved a lot of time, removing, merging and moving all the threads you opened in the last few months, that either didn't belong, or were usually in the wrong place to start with So we really don't need any instructions on how to keep running things here instead

Firstly, the request for the forum to be updated was already made almost a fortnight ago anyway. But the forum hosts are busy and everyone's in the queue, so when things are ready, this forum will get updated too. And we won't give them any instructions on how to do it any quicker in the meantime, as they'd probably appreciate that just as much But if there were any problems when it is updated, we also know how to get in touch again to sort them out, without any other copy and paste guidelines ...

Narcizoid is busy and here just the same as I am, along with maomania and the other mods. But we also don't need the repeat instructions on who should be fired and promoted, just cause you don't see some posting more than others, and think they're doing nothing. The whole reason we had a mod competition last summer was because the admins were doing both the work of mods and admins. And it's no demotion or promotion to be either, because both are just as important and necessary as each other, and the forum wouldn't run as smoothly otherwise

Sometimes, the roles overlap when things are busy, but the mods usually do more of the active posting forum groundwork and admins more of the background work, such as keeping the forum and sections updated throughout the year (things like the 50 plus threads of the 2009 section don't just appear and create themselves overnight ) answering all the mail and pm requests and enquiries, checking all new forum member accounts before activating, and so on. So forum updates and changes always appear and happen throughout the year, as and when they're ready, but the forum runs smoothly most of the time along the way, because everyone makes the effort to make sure of it !
