Yes, it had to do with the judging in the semi-final. Ara was protesting against the judge who made him lose on something he didn't do; experts looking at the taped game couldn't even see anything he did wrong when the judge said he did and also, when the Swedes handed in a protest, they wouldn't even look at the video - something that they have to do.
Ara did this because of the cheating going on in FILA, and the fact that judges are bribed a long time before each match. This isn't just speculations, it's the truth - a man that used to be in FILA came forward and defend what Ara did because he
knows that these things go on behind the scenes, that the cheating isn't just a speculation. He had seen it with his own eyes, and most of the judges are poor - which means that they are easy targets for bribing. And besides, like everyone in FILA had a connection to the Italian wrestler (or something, haven't really grasped it yet) and they wanted him to win from the start. Unfortunately for Ara, that semi final against the Italian wrestler came in the way for the final that he could have been in if the entire organization wasn't bribed.

Just shows how much a gold is really worth when you have to cheat to get it.
So long story short - it didn't serve him right because he was trying to CHANGE this stupid thing that's going on. He made people aware of it and he doesn't care about the stupid medal anyway.
